Our Wanganui correspondent, states that Mr. A. Hatriek has received a letter from Mr. 11. J. manager of tho New Zealand Tourist Department's Melbourne burr.'iu, asking him to u.-o his best influence to induce a Now Zealand four to go to Melbourne to compete at this year's Henlcv on the Yarra. The letter" further states that the -Melbourne llowinj Club will arrange for free passages. Mr. Malison's- letter soenis to indicate (hat he assumes a Wangamii crewwon the last champion fours, for ho suggests that tho Wancanui people should send the crew. Me adds, however, that ho is also writing to the secretary of tho N.Z.K.A. on, tho matter.
