Messrs. Dalgety and Company, .Limited (Palmerston INorth branch) report:—At our Ta'hapo sale on Wednesday, a fair yarding of stock came to hand, but bidding was not keen at auction, though wo managed to dispose of our entry of 1600 sheep with tho eucoption of one small pen. at the following prices:—Cull hoggets. 6s. ' 6d.; small'mixed hoggets to 10s.;. medium wether hoggets, to lis:; medium owe hocgets, to lis. IM.; two-tooth' wethers (medium), to 12*. 7d.; small two-tooth cinpty ewes, to 13s. Messrs. Dalgety and Co. state:—At'our Palmerston sale yesterday a small yardini of.sheep and cattle came forward, and sold as follow:—Sheep: Cull empty ewes, 55.: aged ewes, in lamb, 9s. 6d.; wother hoggets, 12s. 5d.; fat oivcs, 16s. Cattle: Yearling steers. £2 7s. 6d.:' weancr bulls, £2; backward dairy cows, £4 7s. 6d. to £4 155.; dairy heifers. £5 7s. 6d. Messrs. Dalgety and Company. Ltd., held their fortnightly sale at the Upper Hutt yesterday, and report as follows:—We had an • excellent yarding of all classes of cattle, all the pens being full, and we effected • practically a total clearance. Prices ruled as follow:—Cows in calf, £2 12s. 6d„ £4 155., £5. £6 10s., £7 10s., to £7 155.; springing heifers. £3. £4 Is.. £5 35., £6 17s. 6d.. to £7 55.: low-conditioned steers, three-year-olds. £4 9=. to £4 12s. 6d.; twoyear, £3 7s. 6d. to £4 35.; three and fouryoar, £6 2s. 6d.; bulls, £1 12s. 6d.. £3, £3 175., to £3 18s. 6d.; horses, , light £11, draughts, £23, £30, to £40.
