DISCOVERED NEAR TONGA. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright (Kec. September 0, 11.25 p.iu.), Sydney, September G. Admiral King Hall, Commander-in-Chief on tlio Australian Station, announces that the warship Torch has reported the existence of ail active submerged volcano in latitude 20deg. 50min. south longitudo 175deg. !13min. west. Thero is a minimum depth of water of fifty fathoms over the volcano, which is believed to bo on a submerged island near Tongatabu, in the Friendly Islands.
