MELBOURNE MURDER CHARGE.
ALLEGED CONTEMPT OP COURT. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright Melbourne, September 6. The editor and publisher of tho "Age" have been.cited to show cause in connection with a charge of contempt of Court regarding tho case of Dr. Peacock, who was recently arrested oil a charge of murdering a woman named Mary Davies. Tho Chief Justice declared that action should bo taken against tho polico for divulging information. THE PRISONER REMANDED. (Rec. September G, 8.50 p.m.) Melbourne, September G. On the application of tho police, Dr. Peacock has been remanded for eight days on tho charge of murdering the niissing woman Mary Davies.
