0 . The monthly meeting of the Pcfo'tio Technical School Bosid was held last cvouiug. Present: Messrs. Thomson (chairman), Duncan, Hope, M'Kenzie, Wood, Ball, Hobbs, Roots, London, and Castle (secretary). After'consulting with tho chairman and the lion, secretary, ho had asked Miss Gooder (who was next on the list to MissKimbell) to take the position until the managers met, and Miss G'ooder had acceded to the request, and it would ho for tho managers to decide what oourso to follow. Miss Gooder appeared to bo a most suitable candidate for tho position. TliiTO out of four students of Mr. Hopkins's class, who sat for tho plumbers' examination, had' been successful. Ho recommended that certificates bo issued to wool classers if they had put iu four terms, and provided that they wero ablo to pass the examination set. 'Tho capitation claimed for tho second quarter amounted to ,£67 Gs. lid., as against ,£4? Is. sd. for tho same quarter last year. During tho month Mr. Hope had forwarded various models for tho mechanical drawing class. On tho motion of Mr. Castle, it was resolved that MUs Gooder be appointed instructress for tho art class.
