RATIONALISTS' ASSOCIATION.
THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY, (By TeleprraDh.-Press Association.) Christchurch, September 5. The thirtieth naiuivcrsary of the Nc\r Zealand Jtat.tmalist Association was celebrated by a dinner this evening, and was largoly attended bv members of both sexes. Amongst tlic apologies received was one Iroin Sir Robert Stout., who is oil circuit at Pnlmorstoii North aJid.iNaiiicr. lie wrote: "How yoavs go by. I hail no idea that it was so long sinco the association was started. It has jio doubt do;io sonic Rood work, and it is suro that the flag of freedom is kept flying." (Applause.) . ... ~ Several toasts wore honoured, including tint of the. Mi!\v Zealand Rationalist Association, pvoposi-d by Mv. O'Briau Hoaro, and responded to by Mr. li. Thompson; "nationalism, proposed by tho president, Mr. W. J. Carlisle, and responded to by Mr. W. \V. Collins.
