YACHTING.
WELLINGTON CRUISING CLUB. The following officers were reelected for the. ensuing year at the annual meeting of the Wellington Cruising Yacht Club, held ror cently :—Oha.irman, Mr. F. W. Pctherick; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. Petherick; •auditor, Mr. A. Lancaster; startor, judge, and timekeeper, Mr. H. M'Bride. The annual 'report and balance-sheet were adopted, a .credit balance of Is. Id. being canricd forward. There are now six yachts -belonging to the 'club. The yachts Ailsa and Windward rare admitted to the club's list, and it was decided tihat the numbsr of yachts on the list should not exceed six, so that there are now no vacancies. . November 11 was fixed fur the opening day, a picnic is to be held on November 26. Handicap" races will be held on November 18, December 2 and 16, January 27, and March 2 and IG. The aggregate trophy for tho past season's racing was presented to the winner, White Heather. At the conclusion of the meeting the owners of tho White Heather entertained the other owner's at supper.
