A SATISFACTORY SALE DAY. High prices and ft firm market were tho rule at yesterday's sales at Alien and Blair Streets. Supplies were plentiful, and inquiries many. -Mildura lemons sold at 7s. per case; mandarins, 10s. to lis; pines, Os. to 155.; oranges, Sydney, 7s. to 10s. A small shipment, of Karotonga ■ oranges arrived in a. bad condition, and sold from 'lOrf. to'-10s. per case. Hobart fruit was in strong demand. Biurets fold at 13s. to 175.; Sturmers, 12s. to lis. Gd.; stono pippins, 10s. to 125.; French crabs, 10s. to 125.; Scarlet Pearmains, lis. to 16s. New Zealand apples are now almost over. The offerings sold at Ds; to 12s. Marmalade oranges brought Gs. to Bs. for Sydney-grown. Vegetables sold as under:—Carrots, Is. Cd..to 3s. 6d.. per . sack; lettuce, Is. to 3s. Od. case; cauliflowers (choice). 7s. to 13s. per sack;.cabbages,' ss.''to 7s. Gd.; parsnips, ,6s. to 75...M.;. celery , (choice), 4s.
