PARLIAMENTARIANS AND DUTY.
Sir,—l notice that Mr. D. M'Laren, M.l\, addressed a meeting of the electors at' Hataitai 011 Tuesday evening. Seeing that the House was sitting at the time, 1 beg leave to suggest that Mr. M'Laren was neglecting his duty in not being present, and as an elector of Wellington Bast, take strong objection to his absenting himself from his seat in the House during sitting hours' to take up electioneering work, lie was returned to represent' the district in Parliament—iet him do so. there will be plenty of time for him to give an account of himseif later on.—l am, etc., EAST SIDE.
