Quarter-pound flour, J pint of milk, 1 CKo'i. ii pinch of salt, 1 level tcaspoonful baking powder, hot beef dripping. Mix tho Hour and salt together in a. basin; inako a well, break in tho egg, and add a little of tho milk; mix carefully, hold the basin 011 one side, and beat for ten minutes; stir in tho rest of the milk, and allow tho batter to stand for two hours; stir in tho baking powder; put about 1 four tablespoonfuls of dripping from tho boef into a Y'orkshiro pudding tin, pour in tho baiter, and cook tor from 20 minutes to half an hour; servo with the beef.
