I'etono A defeated Pakcha. and therefore win the championship, whieli carries tlio White Cup with it. The runnrrs-up are Kurori, who arc one point behind the champions. Iho Heroawa-llui Mai match was'won by the former after a good cnine. Details of the matches arc as" follow :— PETONE A-PAKEHA. Petone opened with passing rushes, which placed Pakohn on the defence from tlio jump. From a centre by ,1. M'Ewan, .liidd found the net for Petone. On play restarting, Pelone again carried operations into Pakeha"s ' circle, and "W. M'Ewan scored tin? second goal. This was within five minute? of the start of play. After tho next ■'bully-off" the game for a time was even, but eventually Pakcha broke away, and carried ploy into Pelone's quarters, and Simpson shnt at goal, just missing the net. The M'Ewan Bros. (Petone) then headed a rush right down the field, and this emlod in Howe putting on the third goal for Petone. Shortly afterwards J. M'Ewan just missed tho net by inches. For the remainder of the spell Petone had the best of the game. In "the second spoil a rather good display was seen, bath sides making it. au open game, play goins from one end of the field to the other. Each side had a turn at attacking, but the good' defence of the backs on both sides saved time after time, and the spell ended without further score. For Petone Howe, Besvic.k, M'Ewan Bros., .Tudd, and Hartley played good ganies, while for Pakcha Ellison, Paget, Mollinson, Thompson, and Grace were the best men. Messrs. Carver and Simpson wore, referees. HEREAWA-HUI MAI. In the first spell of the match Hereawa. v. Hui Mai, the former started well, getting the play into Hui Mai's circle, and, from a fine pass, Robinson found the net. For some time Hui Mai held their own, but the Hereawa were playing with more life. They forced the play, and the forwards carried tho ball into the circle, whence Caterer shot a goal. ■ The spell thus ended in favour of Hereawa by two goals to nil. In tho second spell the game was ot a more evou nature. Hui Mai started well, and Hoy scored their first goal. HcM'oawa, however, were, out tor a win. and ston Caterer added another goal. thus won by three goals to one. Mr. Looper was referee.
