CANON LONG APPOINTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, August 30. Canon G. M. Long, M.A., headmaster of tho Grammar School at Kew, Victoria, has boon elected Bishop of Bathurst. The new bishop is described as a strong man, of broad moderate views, and a splendid preacher and organiser. He was educated at Melbourno University, and was ordained priest in 1900. Twu years later ho received his appointment at Kew.
