NEW ZEALAND CRITICISED. By Tclesraph— Press Association—Copyright (Kec. August 30, 11 p.m.) ! •-./.■ Sydnoy, August 30. At a conference of co-operative butter factories it was resolved to form a fighting fund for tho purpose of testing the valid-, ity of tho regulations under which the Federal Government affixes the grades of butter to boxes. . A motion was also carried pledging delegates to a system of direct export. , Mr. Osborno, a Victorian delegate, said ho had proved that direct export was tho most payable system. Local selling had been disastrous to the Now Zealand factories. Ho compared the balance-sheets of the New Zealand factories for the last five years. Nono had paid the samo average as the co-operative factories of Victoria. The gambling in local selling in New Zealand, which had been brought about by grade-stamping, had not proved profitable to producers.
