The board also decided to moke formal application to the Department for tho recognition of the college as a Technical Day College, and for the disestablishment of the District' nigh School. ■ A meeting of settlers, held at Maugamahu on Saturday appointed-a deputation to interview t'ho Prime Minister and protest against tho recent alteration in the system of rating Crown lands iu that' district.
