Last night, the Maoriland Steamship Co.'s steamer Laudcrdale left Melbourne for liuon (Tasmania) to load a full cargo of timber for Sydney. Upon completion of dischargo she proceeds to Newcastle, to load coal for Wellington. An arrival in port from Nelson yesterday was the small steamer Waihi. For some time past she has been relieving tho Lady Uarkley in the Nclroh-Motiicka running. Tho charter having expired, and the Lady Hartley having completed overhaul, the Waihi has returned to Wellington. Port Chalmers reports that tho U.S. and A. Line's ehl.rtcred steamer Anglo-Pata-goniau and tho Shaw-Savill steamer Waiwera both left port at 8 a.m. yesterday. The former is bound for Sydney Heads for orders, and the latter for Newcastle. Bound for Sydney with a- load o[ timber, tho sailer Maroro was towed out of West Haven by the steamer Kaitoa yesterday. The Kaitoa, calls at Tonga. Bay, uitd is duo at Wellington to-morrow. She leaves the same day for Kelson and West Coast.
