As the result of a conference of members of llio Weiliiißton Education Bourd with t'hn Hoard Managers of the Wcllingtou Tccliiiical School on J'riday Inst, tor the purpose of discussing the position regardini; th« reams formerly occupied by the Industrial Association in the Technical School building, it was recommended, and .subsequently ratified, at the beard's meeting yesterday:— 1- Thai the Education Hoard permit the Industrial Association to occupy tho offico in the Technical School, Victoria Street, on its giving six.inuulhs''notice cf its desire lo do so. 2. That, as rrgaixls the liall, tho board give favourable consideration to a pi<>poyal to establish therein an industrial exhibition or nmsmim designed to bo of educational value to the students of the. techiiicail classes. ;i. Further, that the board bo recommended to agrees to join with the othnr bodies concerned in joint representation to the Minister regarding the position of the Industrial Association, if, on consideration, this course is thought desirable; but that at. tho same tune this conferenco is of opinion that that course ie exlircmely inadvisable.
