FORECAST AND SUMMARY. Present indications are for the development and approach of a westerly storm especially affecting country southward of Now Plymouth and Castlepoint. Moderate to strong westerly winds probable northward of Kawhia, and Castlepoint, and freshening westerlies and northorlies elsewhere. Hazy and cloudy weather, increasing especially in the south and west, and a falling barometer particularly in the southern districts. . The barometer rose in the. north during the night, when tho low nreseuro system passed off East Cape. The- weather improved to-day with a decrease in the forco of tho wind. D. C. BATES.
