NURSING CALVES.
THE INDIARITBBER TEAT ADVOCATED. In response to the call for suggestions as to the l«st means of preventing calves from sucking after feeding, Cissy Macdonald writes advocating the use of the indiarubber teat as n simple and effective means of chocking tho nuisance and a remedy which is easily applied. In looking for a remedy in cases of the kind, says tho writer, it is well to try to get back to nature as near as possible, and I think this is (iono by the use of the teat. It is not natural for a calf to Ixilt a bucketful of milk, and naturally, when it has finished it looks round for'something or anything to suck. With the.teat, however, the milk takes much longer to drink and does tho calf a great deal more good.
Dairy fanners must have strong serviceablo and easily-cleaned cans. Victor 'is tlio name of tho can that suits every requirement, and it pays handsomely to n SO theso cans and no others. Every lid will fit every can. Send for a-catalogue to . Albeit J. PartoDj Carterton, *
