The chairman reported tho rosuit of his recent interview with Father ' Lane in reference to the use of the Catholic portion of the cemetery and intimated ' that a favourable outcome of tho negotia- ! tiorts could be expected. It was resolved ' to employ the caretaker one extra day per 1 week for the purpose of improving generallv the'appearance of tho grounds. Dr. Harding intimated his willingness fa continue as a member of the board. The matter of attending to overhanging trees affecting l'etono plots was left in tho hands of Mr. M'Ewan.
