OPIUM SMUGGLING.
« WINNIPEG PROSECUTIONS. By Telegraph—Preas Association—Copyright OUav/a, August 25. Several arrests have been maue at Winnipeg on charges of smuggling opium across tho United States frontier. The accused are said to have coniessed that a number of Government employees wero involved in a wholesale plan to smuggle tho drug. Tho Secret Service of both countries have been working on tho case for months.
