The performance' w :l s wjtm\-sed by another largo awlienc-a lust evening, and all tho principals scored heavily in their laugh-ter-raising endeavours. The. Panlzcr troupe of acrobats repealed their astonishing performance, and tho American "Ginger Girls" cracked a bunch of newjokes in their own peculiar way to tho amusement of the many. THE NEW THEATRE. Tho change of programme presented at the New Theatre yesterday attracted large crowds throughout the day and evening. The bill includes stirring dramatic films, picturesqno views of distant countries, and last (but decidedly not the least unimportant)- several amusing "comics." One of tho finest dramatic studies of tho programme is tho picture "Raphael and His Model." It is a chapter—tho most romantic—in tho life of that famous Italian artist whose pictures are universally held in greatest esteem by tho world of art. The most touching scene in this study is that in which tho artist is shown putting tho finishing touches to the great work "The Transfiguration," and his sudden collapse just as the picture has been completed. From a picturo entitled "Picturesque Japan" one becomes impressed with the kinematographic artist's clever exploitation of tho land of the heroes of Mukden. It is a picture that both instructs and entertains, and is undoubtedly one of the gems of the current programme. "Bobby as a Hypnotist" is a humorous study, narrating tho adventures—or rather exploits— of a small boy, whose hobby was the study of- hypnotism. "Through tho Clouds" is a real up-to-date dramatic study, for tho hero is an aviator. He is in love with the daughter of a Judge, who strenuously objects to having him as a son-in-law. 'Matters continue in this strain for a time—years. to the lovestricken aviator—until success in an important flying event brings about a capitulation of tho Judge, and, like everything else of a romantic touch, smiles and blushes form the denouement. "Romany Rob's Revenge" is one of the Bison Company's exclusive films, in which feats o? horsemanship and "deeds.of derring do," together with a particularly exciting plot, sorve to keep tho audience in a state of excitement. The programme will bo repeated to-day. A SEASON OF DRAMA." Nat Gould's sporting stories arc popular with a considerable section of tho public, and when his drama, "Tho Chance qf a Lifetime," was presented in Australia by Mr. William Anderson's Company it attracted largo audiences. Theatregoers in Wellington will have an opportunity on Monday evening at tho Opera Hoiiso of witnessing.its first performance in the Dominion. The scenery arrived yesterday morning in chargo of Mr.. Have Williams, mechanist for tho company, so that everything will bo in readiness for Monday night's performance. THE ENGLISH PIERROTS. The English Pierrots, who arc pleasantly remembered in'connection with their appearances at the recent Coronation Exhibition arc to commence a brief season at the Concert Chamber on Thursday evening next. In Mr. Maynard Dakin this bright little combination possesses a comedian of unusual capacity. Not only does he write most of tho songs he sings, but his qualities as. a comedian rank very high, and he gains all his points in a perfectly legitimate manner. Miss Elsa Langley, tho charming young soubrotte, made a. distinct impression in Wellington a few weeks ago, and many will be pleased to seo her again. The Pierrots arrived in Wellington yesterday from a successful tour of the North Island. The box plan will open at the Dresden Company's office to-day. TO-NIGHT'S ORGAN RECITAL.
