Mrs. Council alleged that since then she had been repeatedly threatened, and hence tho action in Lviiience as lo alloyed altercation and assault was given. .\lr. Jackson questioned Mrs. Council respecting an encounter in Houghton (bay Komi. „., ~, ~ T Mr. Jackson: Lid you hit Mrs. Love on the noser—"ilea." , Then, as ft matter ot tact, you attacked Mrs. Love?—".No, I was carrying a jug of milk, and when I put the jug dov.ii to delend myself she hit 1110 with a stick." Mrs. Love denied the allegation of assaults and threat's. She alleged that Mrs. Council had called her names, set a dog un to her, and had struck her. His Worship remarked that the parties had been before the Court before and were not' on good terms. 13y tact they could avoid one another. He considered (from the history of the case, as well as from tho evidence) that the defendant should be bound over to keep the peace for six months. If the complainant interfered with the defendant, the latter could bring a similar action.
