Clifford) stating that the vessel had mot with strong hea<l winds on the run acroes from Kobart, but that it was expected that she would arrive in tho stream about 7 p.m. on Friday. Last evening the local wireless office received a, message confirming the above. SURREY. AT AUCKLAND. Information recoived by tho local agents for the F.-H.-S. Line states tbht tho Surrey arrived at Auckland from Liverpool, via way ports, during the early hours of yesterday morning. The Anglo-r.TtaKonian, which is runniim under the auspices of the Tf.S. and A. Line, left Wellington for Lyttclton yesterday at noon.
Leaving Wellington last, evening the ferry steamer Mararo.a proceeded to Lyttclton and thence to Port. Chalmers, where her (innnal overhaul will be undertaken. This evening the Jfokoia will leave Lyltelton for Wellington in the Mararoa's running, and will continue in the service for about tun days.

The Launccston Marine Board has inquired into the mishap to the Shaw-Savill steamer Waiwora, when enteriug Tamar from London recently. The hoard found that' tho pilot in charge committed an error of judgment, hut as thero was no evidence of negligence ho was not deserving of censure, and no further inquiry was considered necessary.
Advices state that tho steamers Inrlrabarali and Tonioana both passed tho Cane of Good Hope on August 15 "aU well." The ludrabarah is en route from London to Melbourne, Sydney, and New Zealand ports and the Tomoana is bound to tho same ports, but from New York.
