WEDNESDAY ASSOCIATION. Tha'fifth series of games in the second round of the Wednesday hockey competitions ivere ployed yesterday afternoon. Pnkelia had an easy win over Hereawa although, in the last ten minutes, Hereana were playing a great game, and kept Pnkcha on the defensive. The Nelson representatives, who piny Wellington for the shield ou Saturday, will arrive, here to-night. Messrs, Falconer and Carver liavo been appointed referee? by tho Noison Association to control the game. The following junior players have been selected to mo;t Wairarnpa on Saturday. Tho team is not,- perhaps, as strong as Iho original tram which was selected, nut they should give a good account of themselves:—Goalkeeper, Templeton (United); full-backs: right, Bowler (Victoria College); left, Gayford (Metropolitan); halves: right, Palmer (Victoria College); contre, Williams (Government Insurance); left, Ituifih (Wellington); forwards: right win?, Rutherford (Victoria College); inside, Tcwslev (Wellington); centre, Bennett (United); inside, M'Clintock (Government Insurance); left-wing, Wilson (United). Tho Senior B representative, team will bo selected to-day, and the personnel will appear in to-morrow's issue. LADIES' GAMES.
