WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. At the annual meeting of the Wellington li'owin? Association hold in the Star Club's bcalhouse on Monday evening, the following officers were elected for the ensuing season:—President. Mr. H. X). Bell; vice-presidents. Me.-sw, 11. AY. M'Yilly. C. Pcaire. A. S. Hiss. ii. Mothes. J. Ilu'tehcson. Ci. F. C. Campbell, and Hush Pollen; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr. B. A. Marris. It was decided to open the season on Saturday, September 30. and his Excellency the Governor is to be invited to perform the opening ceremony. Tho secretary was instructed to apply to the New Zealand Rowiinr Association to have the next, championship lrg-fe allocated to Wellington. The championships have not. been held in Wellington since 1004. It was also decided to nominate the following officers for positions on the N.Z.A.R.A.-.-President, Mr. A. S. At a meeting of the Otago Bowing Association this evening it was decided to apply to tho New Zealand Rowing Association for the champianshin regatta, next year, and that should tho"anplicatiou bo granted it be held on Lake AYaihoka early in February.
