LODGE MEETING.
The Zcalandia Juvenile Branch of the Independent Order of Rochabites celebrated its anniversary on August 21 at the Church of Christ, I.yall Bay Road, Kilbirnic. The district was represented by Bros. T. J. Ward. D.D.R.,.R. A. Ferguson. P.D.C.R.. T. Fathers, D.S.. ami H. Hcvl Hard, D.S. (who occupied the chair}. Brief addresses wore iriven by the visiting district olfirei-s. There w'as a lar.ee attendance of the parents and friends of tho young folk, who enioved the programme Tho D.5..1.8. Bro. if. I ley ward during the evening presented the following prizes:— First prize, good behaviour, Jack Whiskers; second prize, good behaviour, Doris. Whiskers; essay, Myrtle Whiskers; introducing most new members. Violet Gilmer. The following contributed to tho programme:—Misses Myrtle Whiskers, Annie Ede, Doris M'hkkeis, Ponder (encored), Doris Johnson, Violet Gilmer, Minnie M'MilUin, Elsie M'Cntchen, Jack Whiskers and Jack Ede. Mr. T. Bratrle, the superintendent, moved that the heartiest thanks bo tendered by the meeting to the trustees of (be chuvcli lor the use of tho buiUlin". This was carried by acclamation. °
