NEW STRIKE CALLED.
UNCERTAIN RESPONSE. RAILWAYMEN STILL IN UGLY MOOD. FURTHER RIOTING. , Bj Mocraah-Press Asgociation-OoDyrlrtl (Reo. August '22, 9.25 p.m.) London, August 22. The Strike Committeo has ogam called out the railway men owing to the Midland Railway trouble. It is officially stated that the men are in a bad temper, and all will strike. The Tyne dockers still remain out. The disturbances a.t I Darlington and Bishop Auckland, have subsided.. The railwaymen at Liverpool have decided not to resume unless the tramway men who struck in sympathy with theni are reinstated. Owing to the failure to reinstate the tramway men the Strike Committee ordered the transport workers not to resume. This includes the sailors, firemen, and dockers. ; The' Executive Committee of Justices at Liverpool has urged Mr. Churchill, Home Secretary, not to relax the police and military precautions'there. •■ ■ The committee protested against the methods of the so-called peaceful picketing, and hoped that Parliament would not adjourn without conferring upon justices' additional powers, to prevent intimidation, which has been almost the sole factor preventing a universal settlement of the existing disputes. \
