WESLEY DEBATING SOCIETY.
A reading of "Julius Caesar" was given at the Wesley Hall, Taranaki Street, last evening, by the members o.f tho Taranaki Street Wesley Literary and Debating Society Thera was a fair attendance, and the- recital was much enjoyed. The following too',- part:—Misses C. Smith, F. Dix, M. Dix, and Msssrs. G. ICeall, G. M. Gilbert, E. ]'». Kcmsley,! G. S. Capper, W. JO. Fuller, W. Smith, and R. ,S. Jones. Mr. P. D. Kendall presided, and Mr. C.. W. Tanner read tho introductory ! notes. At the conclusion a vote : rif thanks-was"ac-.. corded Mr. Tanner for assistance given.
