DEATH IN A HOSPITAL.
(By TolsErraph—Press Association.! Auckland, August 1!). Thomas Oakes, a single man aged 31), who had been suffering _ from swollen glands, died in the hospital this morning. Chloroform was being administered previous to an operation, but the doctors found the natiout. could not stand it, and desisted. Oakes died an hour and a half ; later.
