IFrom Our Snecial Corrcsnondent.l An-exciting scene took place in Petono a' about 8 o'clock on "Saturday night, when tho police arrested a man on a charge of obtaining lodging under false pretcnces. A struggle took place, somo of the crowd showing somo hostility to the constable.- The accused will bo brought before Dr. M'Arthur, S.JI.-, at the I'etone Court this'morning. Mr. Skelly will'present a medal to the dux of tho Petono TVest School. Tho third term in connection with tho Petone Technical School commences this evening.
