Republican applause greeted tlio announcement of tlio Presidential veto pt the Wool Bill. When tlio President's message was road in the House of Representatives, Mr. Underwood, tlio Democratic deader, announced that Ho would call the Bill immediately, and endeavour to pass it over the veto. Mr, Underwood is confident of bemff able to obtain the necessity majority. Ha must get Republican support boforo tlio necessary two-thirds is obtained. The Republicans are supporting President Taft. It is believed the "insure ent" section of the party will not try to upset tho veto.
FARMERS' BIXL VETOED. Washington, August 18. President Taft has decided to veto thß Farmers' Free List Bill.
