The return from the Waihi : mine for the period ended AuEUst 5 was £51.104 Bs. 2d.,- the ■ result of tho 'treatment of 26.332 tone. The total .bullion won to date is £9,554,267, and the- total dividends paid, £4.265,071. TJio latest report from the W;uhi mine shows that tho last three feet- on "the- Edward lode (crosscut at. 500 ft. No. 9 level) assays £6 Is. re , .' on, and for 48ft. driven on the same lode south from the perch crosscut the value went to £4 3s. per ton.' The north crosscut on the sow bottom level is in a total distance of 658 ft. LONDON MINING QUOTATIONS. London, August. 17. Tho Mount Lyell returns from July 30 to August 9 inclusivo .show that 25.371 tons, of ore were treated, also 58 ton? of purchased ore.
