Sir Wilfrid Laurier, the Prirao Minister, is touring- Quebec. ]lo is vigorously supporting Keciprocity, but avoiding to a largo extent discussion on tho Xavy question, which tho French Canadians strongly oppose. Tho Opposition Leader, Mr. Bordcn, is gaining a large vote in Ontario, where annexation possibilities aro strongly resented. MR. BORDEN ON RECIPROCITY. Ottawa, August 17. Mr. R. L. Bordcn, tho Conservative leader in tho Canadian Parliament, speaking at a great anti-Reciprocity demonstration at Chatham, in Ontario, said that Canada had not forgotten the British ideal of Reciprocity within the Empire, which was good enough for Canada. Such would bo tho reply, continued Mr. Bordeii, President: Taft would receive to proposals to divert tho Dominion from tho true path of the Empire.
