EMPLOYERS TO MEET. A meeting of Wellington warehouse, men (employers) will be lneld on Monday evening at 7.30 o'clock to consider the do- ; niands of the Employees' Union regarding higher wages and shorter hours. ; Tho ; demands are to be resisted, but in what 1 way, ami whether modified proposals will ' be suggested, will be decided at tho meeting. Tho Employers' Federation has , tho matter in hand, A meeting of tho heads of departments of the different warehouses in Hid city was hrid yesterday afternoon, when a committee' 1 was formed''with a view to going into the position. Tho eommitteo consists of Messrs. Monckton (Sargood, Soil and Ewen), Scott (Bing. Harris and Co.), Coo (Boss .and Glandi'iiing), Williams (Archibald Clarlc, Ltd.), Eraser Oioberts N.Z., Ltd.), "Ward (George and Doughty), Nash (Brailsford and Co.), Simpson (TCaiapoi Woollen Co.), Armstrong (M Lldowney Bros.), Salmon (Abbot, Oram and Co.), and Clouston (Macky, Lojjau, Ltd.).
