MR. HUGHES'S DUAL OFFICES. By Tcleeraph-Press dssoeiation-Oopyrieul Melbourne, August 16. Tho Council of the Victorian Employers' Federation has adopted a protest against tho Federal Attorney-General (Mr. W. M. Hughes), as president of tho Waterside- Workers' Federation, directing its members to refuse to handle non-union sugar, as such action tended to cause a general strike. Such conduct w-as in contempt of the Arbitration Act, whioh he, as Attorney-General, should endeavour to uphold.
