HEAT WAVE-IN ENGLAND.
DANGEROUS HEATH FIRE. By Telecraon—Press Association-OoDyritrht London, August 15. Tfto temperature has exceeded 80 degrees in the shade in London for eight days in succession. A. heath fire, five and a half miles long, swept the Surrey Hills, threatening a sanatorium and a number of -dwellings. Five hundred troops were dispatched from Aldcrshot to cut' down a belt of trees, thus averting dangor.
