Tho vessel is flooded) and is humping 'heavily. Inspects'of salving arc unfavourable. Tho steamer stranded on tho evening of August 9, and was abandoned at neon on August 11. Mr. Woods's boat has not been soon since leaving at noon on August 10. Mr. Caulfield's was last seen, at midnight on August 11, seven miles south of Capo Guardafui. The'following is tho list of passengers in the Fifoshiro's missing boats:— From Sydney—Mr. Mannix, Mesdomes Dale and Mannix, Miss Owen. From Brisbane-j-alr. White (or Wright), wife, son, and daughter, Mrs. and Miss Bladen. The boats also contained the following members of the crew:— • Chief officer-Mr. Woods. Second officer-Mr. Caulfield. Engineers-Messrs. Mackinnon and Laird. Crew—Messrs. Alvery, W. Brown, Erman, Gannon, Goodwin, Joyce, Maclean, MacLeod, Moffatt, Sahrs, Spender, W. Stewart, H. Stewart, Waddington, Walters, and Wallace. Sydney, August 16. Association has been advised that the Fifeshire is a total wreck. INSURANCES ON THE SHIP. London, August 15. Tho Fifeshire was insured for nearly a quarter of a million sterling.
