(From Our Special Correspondent.) Palmerston, August 15. Thero was a Rood attcudanco at the usual meeting of Couvt Manawatu, A.0.F.,' last evening, nnd Uro. D. Weir, C.R., presided. Bros. Weir and Osgood wore appointed the court's representatives at the installation of the Governor as an honorary member of Court Northland. Bro. Yoi-tt will also attend, .is representing tho district officers. Throe new niciiiberg were initiated. At'a meeting of Members of tho Manawatii Trotting Club lost night arrangements were, made in connection with the mooting-which is to bo held on the Awapuni courso towards tho end of tho month,-and various officials were appointed. It wes decided to volo for Messrs, J. H. Pollock. K. 0. Dimcin, W. G. Garavcl, C. S. Howe.ll, A. 1.. Myers,.ll. V. Nicoll, W. 11. Donton, V. Solig, a.nd C. F. Mark, as members of tho New Zealand Trotting Association. The Management Committrc of the Manawalu Rugby Football Union doouled last night to endeavour to pay a visit to Iho Awnnia (Tnihape) Sub-Union later in the season. Tho uso of No. .3 ground was granted to the Mana.wa.tu Hockey Association for a representative match with Wellington on Saturday next.
