Ninety arresis have been made in the city.
A fierce affray took place at midnight at the north end of the city. The mob extinguished the gas lamps and tore down a wall ior missiles.
The police were unable to cope with the riot, and the military were utilised, four revolver shots were fired. The street was cleared, many persons beius injured. " . '
Four hotels were smashed in, and a number of provision shops were looted.
The strike leaders from the first outbreak bravely risked injury from both sides in their efforts to calm the crowd. They blame the police for precipitating matters. . ,
The doctors were a couple of hours bandaging and stitching the injured, and used St. Georgo's Hall as a temporary hospital. Scores of injured persons were laid on tho table. A fireman was ecalped by a brick. An officer of the Warwickshire Regiment was injured.
Tom Mann, the Labour organiser, is making daily speeches in Liverpool.
