A LIVELY CAMPAIGN. MEETING. By TeleeraDh-Press Association—Copyrleht Ottawa, August li. Mr.' Lemicux, Postmaster-General, met Mr. Bourassa, the. French-Canadian Leader, at St. Hyacinthe. This was the first big gathering of the political campaign. Mr. Lomieux accused Mr. Bourassa of being an office-seeker, and of having sought the Speakcrship of the House of Commons whilb apparently fighting for a principle only. A disturbance promptly broko out, and tho platform was partly destroyed. Mr. Bourassa admitted the allegation with regard to the SpeakeTship, but denied tho others. Ho accused Sir Wilfrid Laurier of having betrayed the French Canadians by his Navy policy.
