A PROTEST. (By Telesrapli.—Press Association.! Chrisicnurch, August 15. At a meeting of tho Canterbury branch of th- Nnvy League to-night the following motion was passed unanimously :— "That the Executive Committee of (ho Canterbury branch of the- Nivv T eogui> condoms in tho str-mgest possible term? tho action of tho proprietors of the Auckland skating rinks, named in the Press Association telegram of August 10, in excluding from their places of entertainment the King's uniform, and tho uniform of a service on which they, in common with all New Zealanders, depend."
