Xt3,OSO In view of the above figures for this port alone, it is not surprising that breeders are taking a special interest in tho proposed Bill for the prevention of hereditary unsoundness in draught stallions, which has been outlined recently by Mr. C. J. Reakes, Director of the Live Stock Division of the Agricultural Department. The Bill is' to rnako provision for the licensing of stallions, and for yearly inspection which is to be gradually introduced, and it-will also cover spavin, ring-bone, side-bone, navicular disease, roaring, shivering, stringhalt, and bad feet.
