Dive's constituency of Egmont has also beeii coupled with, the Minister's name. It is also stated that inducements wero recently held out. to him to olfer his services as successor to 3lr. Dillon, who is retiring from the representation of 11a who's Bay. There are members on the Government side/ of the House who say that 3lr. Mackenzie will be rather relieved than otherwise, and that ho will now get a scat in the High Commissioner's office in London. 3lr. Jfnckonzio himself will not state what his intentions are.
