The arena, holds 100,000 spectators. MILLEETON TOURNAMENT. (By Telegraph—Prese Association.) Westport, August 13. The Jfillerton Boxing Association's fifth tournament was held last night. In addition to the amateur events, there was a special professional bout of 15 rounds, for a purse of ,£45, between "Alt'." Broomwich, of. Millertou, formerly of New South Wales, aud T. O'Halloran, of Waipawtu Although his opponent put up a game fight, Broomwick held the mastery for the seven rounds that tho bout lasted, Broomwicli then winning on a knock-out. A HITCH .OVERCOME. • The back-down of "Sid." Sullivan, in relation to the contest which was to have taken place between that small little light-weight and Arthur Kelly, in Wellington, has , brought about a match between tho latter and Ha.unan, tho very clever boxer, who recently defeated Raff, of Sydney. Kelly, who was in Wellington recently as sparring partner to "Dave" Smith, is the light-weight champion of Australia, and has- the extremely creditable record of only having been beaten eight times in about eighty fights. The contest will take place, in the Town Hall to-morrow week, under the auspices of the Wellington Boxing Association. ■
