. DIRECTORS' REPORT. • Following is tho annual report of tho Taratahi Co-operativo Company,' whoso annual meeting takes'placo next week at Carterton:--. In consequence of another factory starting in our district, our output this year is not so large as last -year. Tho amount of milk received during the season was 3,715,4101b., being 1,068,7731b. less than the. previous year. Tho butter-fat amounted to 143,8C7.3f11b., the milk showing,a percentage of 3.87, and produced 371,2301b. of cheese, equal to'l(!7 tons lewt., a decrease on last season of 431- tons. Each pound of buttor-fat made 2.G01b. of cheese, the milk averaging 9.921b. to each lib. of cheese. During the season advances were made to milk suppliers at Del. per lb. of butterfat, amounting to ,£5395 os. 5d., leaving for distribution .£1798 6s. 10d., equal to one shilling per lb. of buffer-fat over the wholo sea.«on. AVo havo also made provision for tho ■ payment of G per ' cent, on the paid-up capital. The buildings and plant having been kept in a thorough state of repair, anu valued on our books at n very low iignre, your directors havo decided "this year not to write off.ahj-thing for depreciation.
