NORTHERN UNION RULES.
WELLINGTON, 23; TAEANAKI, 15. (Bj Telceraph—Press Association.) New Plymouth, August 10. The Northern Union match, Wellington v. Tarauaki. was played here to-day on a dry ground. It was a good game to watch, but the visitors showed the more intimate knowledge of the rules, and were in far better condition than the locals. Wellington won by 23 points to 15, Tries were scored for the -winners by Gibson (2), Hogan (2), Roscoe, Callaghan, nnd Braid, Hogan kicking a goal from his own try. For Taranafci, Julian, Tocker, and l.wohill scored tries. Stockman converted two and kicked a goal from a. mark. The attendance of the public was small.
