WELLINGTON SHARE MARKET. Tho market for mining shares was not rjuite so dull as usual yesterday, judging; by tho number of Ealos recorded. Now Sylvias recovered sharply from tho unaccountable flump of tho previous day, but Tairua Mines appear to be still tho butt of tho destructive johbers. Talismans were firm, and Waihis were steady. MTJEKAY CEEEK GOLD-MINING CO. 'The statutory meeting of shareholders of the Murray Creek Gald-inining Company was held at noon yesterday at the office of Messrs. Irwin and George. Mr. Walter 1. Nathan v.-is in fl<o chair, and ahout a dozen shareholders were present. The provisional directors, in their report, stated that: "The total nnmher of sh-Tres allotted is 11,800 of £1 each, of which 20CO are allotted as fully paid up otherwise than in cish to the vendors—"The Wellington Mines, liimited"—in consideration of an agreement to'arsign the whole of the assets of the said company to this company. The balance of 2KI scares in open Tor subscription, by shareholders." It is understood that the unissued shares were taken un before the meeting, and consequently, the capital of £12,000 is fully subscribed.
The chairma.n stated that a competent mine manager had been secured, and development work would be begun forthwith.
