BTJSHFELLING ACCIDENT. • (By Telegraph—Press Asßociation.l Wanganui, August 9. The dangers and privations incidental to bushfelling in the back-blocks were exemplified to-day. While working in Ahualiu Block, inland from the Wanganui River, a young man named Frank Williamson was jammed between two trees on a steep siding, and broke his leg. The sufferer was placed on a pack-horse at 9 o'clock this morning, and carried several miles over a rough track, then put. on a stretcher and carried bv his mates to the river, where he arrived at 5 o'clock this afternoon. A special steamer brought him down to the hospital, which was reached at 11 p.m. FATALLY THROWN FROM MOTOR. Christchurcli, August 9. Alfred Bradley, a plumber by trade, died in the hospital to-day as the result of injuries received on Monday. He was riding a motor cycle when he collided with a trap, was thrown heavily, and sustained concussion of the brain.

KNOCKED DOWN IN THE STREET. Airs. DoHgias, SG years of age, residing at C 8 Donald M'Lean Street, was admitted to the hospital last night, suffering from a fracture. The injury was sustained through being knocked down by a motorcar as she stepped from a tram at the corner of Constable Street.
