DUKE AS SLUM OWNER.
\ CHAKGES DENIED. By Telegraph-Eress z London, August 7. Baron De Forest, M.P. for West Ham, in a speech at Dimstable, Bedfordshire, accused the Duke of Bedford, whilo posing as a generous country landlord, of possessing vast slums in London, in which the tenants were "living , in misery and squalor. The Duke of Bedford denies the accusation, and challenges Baron Dβ Forest to renew his statement in a manner affording a chance of legal proceedings.
