FRANCE'S COMPENSATION TO GERMANY. THE POSITION OF CONGO AND TAHITI. (Rec. August 7, 0.30 a.m.) Paris, August G. The "Matin" states that France's compensation to Germany will be confined to the frontier of tho Kamerun and tho French Congo. There is no longer any question of ceding Congoland and Tahiti. Tho settlement' of Germany's economic interests in Morocco remains to be dealt with. suggested joint remonstrance. Sydney, August' 6. Mr. Hughes has received a cablo from the New Zealand Government suggesting a joint remonstrance to tho Imperial Government against tho suggested transfer of Tahiti to Germans - . Mr.'Hughes replied that no speciiic information had reached him, but if it should bo shown that the ceding of Tahiti was one of tho conditions of international readjustment ho would be ready to communicate a joint protest to Mr. JJarcourt,
